Why do we coach?

Why would successful divorce lawyers coach?

Believe it or not, most lawyers, like most people, just want to help. For us, divorce coaching is an energizing way to help clients navigate and thrive in a process filled with real life challenges.

When we are coaching, we aren’t lawyering, and we aren’t constrained as coaches by the rules and codes that govern our conduct as lawyers. We don’t have to play defense or offense. We don’t have to worry about what someone in a black robe had for breakfast.

A coach’s alliance is pure and uplifting. The energy created in the coach client relationship is real and sustaining. The victories are lasting, and they aren’t subject to appeal.

For lawyers used to harnessing their energy to confront and challenge in the courtroom, coaching is an evolution and natural path of personal growth. Coaching is about tempering powerful projection in favor of kind and active listening. As a coach, it really is all about the client, and that just feels right.
